Q: I have more than one teenager…do I need to purchase a kit for each one?

A: No you don’t. I recommend you purchase one kit and then an additional text and workbook for each additional student. The Homeschool Resource USB Flash Drive is there to help YOU as the instructor.

Q: I will be teaching this course to a large co-op…what buying options do I have?

A: We put together Auto Upkeep Homeschool Co-op Packages that consist of 10 Textbooks, 10 Workbooks, and 1 Homeschool Curriculum Kit. You can buy as many as needed. We also sell the text and workbook separately.

Q: Could this course count as a 1/2 credit elective or a 1 credit elective?

A: Auto Upkeep can be either a 1/2 credit or 1 credit course elective. The course covers 135 hours of instruction (18 weeks x 1.5 hours a day x 5 days a week). If you would like to run this as a 1/2 credit course, shorten the number of hours by reducing or eliminating the number of lab activities completed depending on your facility and available tools. Most activities can be completed with a limited number of tools. Some activities can also be completed more than once to extend hours of instruction, enhancing the student’s skill set. For example one of the more important topics, “Fluid Level Check Activity” could be performed on multiple types of vehicles. The curriculum is flexible for you to adjust it to fit your needs. I have some parents that use it as a non-credit course to supplement their drivers ed curriculum. The great thing with the Auto Upkeep curriculum is that you can pick and choose from 40 activities on what you would like to cover.
